CNN reports AVASTIN to be taken off the markets by Food and Drug Administration. Final decision to be made on September 17, 2010. What will this mean for all those people currently taking AVASTIN to treat cancer symptoms and progression? It means that if the FDA condemns it's use, insurance companies will stop "signing the checks," as CNN reports, and will make those seeking AVASTIN to pay $8,000 a month for treatment.
(This is ridiculous. I hope it turns out well in favor of AVASTIN.)
